I barely squeaked out a victory this week. The Utility Men proved to be an tough team to play against. It seemed like Reyes was stealing base like a there was no tomorrow. This brings me to my next point.
It was the first battle between 2B-SS Combo (FKAky 2B: Rickie Weeks, SS Jimmy Rollins; Utility Men: 2B Chase Utley, SS Jose Reyes). They were all keeper selections and most teams would say that they are the best 2B-SS players available. My combo contributed for 3 hrs, 8 r's, 7 rbi's, and 5 sb's. (Rickie was also hurt and sat out two games) His duo accounted for 1 hr, 10 r's, 10 rbi's and 6 sb's. Pretty even but I give victory to Reyes and Utley for batting a combined .423, I won't mention my average because it was pretty weak.
I thought I had it in the bag until I found out that Braden Looper was getting pushed back till Tuesday. I was counting on winning innings but I lost them by 6. I went to study and I was losing RBI's for the night, 6-2. I thought that my team was doomed for my second lose. Then Tony Clark and Chris Iannetta came out of no where to drive in a run a piece. RBI's where tied and Brady Clark left two men on base in the ninth to seal up this weeks victory. It was intense!
The final score for week 4 was FKAky 6.5 - Utility Men 5.5.
