Team on the mend

Team FKAky currently is hurt pretty bad. Listed below are the players that are on the mend and their most recent news about them. I will also list when they will most likely come back from their injury(ies).

Milton Bradley - OF - D2D (Will be back for second round match up)
August 10 - Milton Bradley (hamstring) performed agility drills prior to Thursday's game.
Bradley could return to the starting lineup in two or three days.

Hunter Pence - OF - 15 day DL (Might be back for second week of round two)
August 9 - Hunter Pence (chipped bone in wrist) felt great after hitting 25 soft-tosses on Wednesday.

"My wrist was feeling really good today coming in," Pence said. "I didn't want to overdo it. It was nice and easy. ... The first 15, I swung really nice and easy and the last 10 I was really happy with. I hit the ball pretty solid. It's the first time I've had some authority behind it and it was actually a solid swing." Pence remains several weeks away from a return from the disabled list.

Alfonso Soriano - OF - 15 Day DL (Could be back for third round match up at the earliest)
August 9 - According to teammate Felix Pie, Alfonso Soriano (torn quadriceps) is able to walk without pain.

"I talked to him at the airport when he was going to Denver," Pie said. "He told me he was recovering very quickly and can walk normally now. The [torn right quad] is not too painful, and he said he can come back soon." Pie said that Soriano thinks he should be able to return before Labor Day.

Octavio Dotel - RP - 15 day DL (Second week of Round 2)

August 11 - Octavio Dotel says his shoulder injury isn't serious and he hopes to return from the disabled list the first day he is eligible.
"It's not like my rotator cuff or anything, nothing serious like a shoulder or elbow," said Dotel. "This injury isn't to be worried about, not anything dangerous." Dotel will rest his shoulder by not throwing for a few days.

Jeff Kent - 2B - D2D (Will be back for Round 2)
August 7 - Jeff Kent, who missed the last six games with a strained left hamstring, returned to the starting lineup on Tuesday.

Kent singled in the first inning off Reds starter Bronson Arroyo to extend his hitting streak to 12 games. He should be fine to activate.

Tony Graffanino - 2B - 15 Day DL (Out for the season)
Brewers placed IF Tony Graffanino on the 15-day disabled list with a torn ACL.

Graffanino will miss the remainder of the season after suffering the injury while making a leaping catch Tuesday. Rickie Weeks has been called up from Triple-A to replace him on the roster. Graffanino finishes the season with a .238 batting average and 705 OPS in 86 games.
