David was a huge factor in last years playoff run and will be sorely missed during this years run to the championship. Hopefully he will be eligible to come off the DL for the second week of our second round matchup.
David Ross will be placed on the 15-day disabled list because of a concussion, the Reds said Monday.
An CT scan of Ross's head came back negative, but the Reds don't want to wait 7-10 days for him to return to the lineup. They'll call up Ryan Jorgensen to back up Javier Valentin.
