Jorge Sosa lands on the DL

It looks like Jorge will be out for some time. He injuried himself on Saturday while running out a base hit. He had been pitching decently since being called upon and will be greatly missed. He had a 7 and 3 record and had an ERA of 3.92 and a Whip of 1.21 for the season. Hopefully he heals up soon.

Mets placed RHP Jorge Sosa on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring.

The Mets haven't provided a timetable for his return, but Sosa could miss a month or more. Mike Pelfrey, who was already on the way up to start today, could remain in the rotation in Sosa's place.
