Yovani Gallardo yielded just one run in seven innings versus the Reds during his season debut on Sunday. He struck out four and walked three while giving up only three hits.
Harang pitched 8 innings while giving up only one run and striking out eight and walked none. Both received no decisions for this game but Eric Gagne, pitching on four straight days, gave up three earned runs to lose the game in extra innings.
Nice performance by both and a horrible performance by Gagne. Why they let him pitch four straight days I will never know. Gagne has 6 saves so for to go along with three blown saves.
