So I was contemplating whether or not I should have Milton Bradley in my active lineup for this week before I submitted my final roster for Round 2 of the playoffs. I decided that I would go with the hot bat of Rajai Davis who had been playing regularly for the Giants the past few weeks. Bradley was coming off the DL from a hamstring injury and I thought that the Padres would be resting him a bit this week so I benched him. BIG MISTAKE!
Bradley has gone off this week. Last night Bradley belted two homeruns and drove in six RBI's and scored three times. For the week, Bradley has five runs, eight RBI's, and two homeruns. Not enough to put me ahead of the Box Chowers but a lot closer than I the production of Davis has provided for me. Davis has been O for everything and in the close matchup this week and it looks like the best that I can accomplish is a tie. That is if my pitching can provide me with 5 category wins. The only one I am not counting on is saves since the BC's have four studs compared to my one. In the hitting categories, I have given up on everything except for stolen bases and currently I hold a two SB advantage.
Next week, Bradley is penciled in to be active and hopefully he can continue to produce. With my luck, Davis will go off and produce more than Bradley. Only time will tell.
