The Pickle Weasels and Team FKAky communicated into the late hours last night trying to work out a trade and around 10:30 or 11 pm they finally had something etched in stone. Leaving Team FKAky are starting pitcher Greg Maddux and second basemen Rickie Weeks. Joining are second basemen Jeff Kent and outfielder Mike Cameron.
This trade helps out both teams. Team FKAky looks to be getting some more hitting as they have been struggling in producing runs and hitting for average. The Pickle Weasels seem to be getting some much needed pitching help and an often injured second basemen.
Hopefully the trade will work out better than the last trade that Team FKAky made. I am still losing sleep on that one, hopefully Brad Lidge gets traded or is hurt longer so that Dan Wheeler might eventually payoff.
It was fun making this deal, it was short and sweet, both teams didn't mess around and pulled off a trade in near record time.
