Yovani Gallardo was called up this past weekend. He is taking over for another team member who just went on the DL, Chris Capuano. I am hoping that this young pitching prospect stays up after Capuano is activated from the DL.
In his major league debut he lasted 6.1 innings while giving up only 3 earned runs. He struck out 4 batters and walked 3. He retired 15 of 16 hitters in a row at one point in the game with a walk to Barry Bonds being the only batter to reach base during that span. Nice work!
