Week 9 - FA Pickups

Team FKAky picked up a prospect this week in Yovani Gallardo for $1. He is currently in the Brewers AAA team. He currently has a 7-1 record while striking out 84 and walking 21 in 60.1 innings pitched. The ETA for Yovani is undetermined but as soon as one of the starting pitchers for the Brewers gets side lined with an injury he might be the person that they call upon to replace them. He seems like he will have some keeper value if he doesn't see much action this year. The Brewers believe he is ready to face major league hitters but they don't want to rush him.

Team FKAky also made an aggressive bid on third basemen Mark Reynolds of the Diamondbacks. In 46 AB's he has hit .435 with an OPS of 1.304. He also has 3 homeruns and 13 rbi's and has scored 11 times. I was hesitant on picking him up earlier but once I heard that they are going to find a place for this kid to play once Chad Tracy comes off the DL. He could be a super utility player, who knows how to play 2B, SS, and OF. Only time will tell.

FA Update:
Free Agent pickup David Ross had a great week since been called upon to join the ranks of Team FKAky. He hit 2 homerun's and 4 rbi's last week as a utility player. I moved him into a Catching position this week, benching Yorkitt Torrealba.
