Peavy throws 7 strong

Jake Peavy keeps on rolling. He pitched 7 innings of shut out ball today, giving up only 2 hits and walking only 1 batter and he struck out 8 guys. He has post a 7-1 record.

During the draft I was hoping to bid Calvin up on Peavy, realizing that he needed pitching and had a lot of money still left on the table. I thought that I was being tricky trying to bid him up but to my surprise I got stuck with him at $27. To date, Peavy has been the best bargain for his money spent. No regrets!!!

Peavy has now allowed 3 or fewer hits in 6 of his outings this year. He post a 1.47 ERA and his WHIP is dangling below 1.
