Peavy strikes out 10 again

Jake Peavy continued his streak of consecutive starts with 10 or more strike outs. He has now done it in four consecutive games. It is the first time in modern day baseball that someone has pitched four games with 10 or more strikeouts while not pitching more than 7 innings in each start.

He now has 66 strikeouts in 53.1 innings. He raised his record to 5-1 and lowered his ERA to 1.52.
