What can I say bad about this past week? Not much. My team was firing on all cylinders and they completely and utterly destroyed the Beaners.
Here are the stats from Week 2. Note that the Beaners won only 1 category after posting a 11-1 thumping to the Box Chowers last week. They are the team whom I playing during Week 3.
FKAky -- 40 R -- 14 HR -- 36 RBI -- 4 SB -- .344 AVG -- 1.091 OPS
Beaners --31 R -- 4 HR -- 27 RBI -- 7 SB -- .285 AVG -- .778 OPS
FKAky -- 46 IP -- 5 W -- 3 SV -- 1.57 ERA -- 1.07 WHIP -- 18 K-BB
Beaners--31.1 IP --3 W -- 2 SV -- 8.33 ERA -- 1.98 WHIP -- 0 K-BB
The most surprising category that I thought I would lose was Saves but David Weathers has stepped up big the past two weeks, converting all 5 of his save opportunities. My Hitting was spectacular, they started off slow but as the week progressed they all came up big. Most notably was Rickie Weeks, Barry Bonds, Jimmy Rollins, Chris Duncan, and Tony Clark. All of them had at least two homeruns (Rollins and Weeks had 3 HRs) and all of them except for Duncan (2 RBI's) had at least five RBI's a piece. Ryan Theriot, playing 3B for 3 games, stepped up too, batting .500 (18 AB's) and stealing 2 SB's.
My Starting Pitchers had an amazing week too. To Barry Zito got his first victory, to Peavy completely dominating the majors right now, they are all getting the job done. Chris Capuano was saved 3 ER's during his last outing by a freak error, so it seems like luck is playing on my side too. Maddux is also proving to be his old reliable/dependable self too.
I know that this production won't last long but I am going to enjoy it while I can.
