Lastings Milledge - OF
Lastings Milledge is expected to miss four to six weeks with a right foot injury that landed him on the disabled list at Triple-A New Orleans.
"I don't know what caused it," general manager Omar Minaya said. "It's just something that happened over time."
Russell Branyan - 3B
Padres placed infielder Russell Branyan on the bereavement list.
No word yet on what's led to Branyan's leave of absence. Kevin Kouzmanoff gets a bit of a reprieve for now. Geoff Blum will serve as the backup third baseman.

Chris Duncan had a pinch-hit double Thursday after being scratched with a head injury.
Duncan went to a doctor for stitches after bumping his head at his hotel in the morning. He'll probably be in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs.
