Jimmy Rollins nailed a 3-1 pitch off Tom Glavine for his 18 career lead off Homerun. In the second inning he also nailed another pitch from Glavine over the left field fence for his second homerun of the game. That homerun gave the Phillies a 3-1 early on but their lead would be squandered as the Mets eventually came up victorious, 5-3 on Thursday night. Rollins now has fifth homerun of the early season. (NL League).
A side note, Tom Glavine and Jamie Moyer hooked up in the oldest match up of lefty starters (85 years, 163 days) in major league history. Moyer got his 2,000 career strikeout and Tom Glavine notched his 292nd career win.
